Two years ago, Future Force Halton and the Halton community worked together to answer a pressing question: Who will work for you in 2010 and beyond?
Now, with that milestone year of 2010 quickly approaching and businesses both local and global facing new economic challenges, FutureForce Halton is gearing up once again to collaborate with business, education, government and community organizations across Halton. The goal is to foster a renewed atmosphere of openness through knowledge sharing, workforce development strategies and online connectivity.
It's all part of helping the Halton community ask - and answer - a new question: in the face of a rapidly changing world, are we future ready? To get involved, contact us!
FutureForce Halton was proud to play a role in bringing international thought leader and best selling author (Rise of the Creative Class, Who's Your City?) Richard Florida to Halton as part of the Halton Industry Education Council's 20th Anniversary gala event which was held on November 17, 2009. For more information about the event click here.
Working in collaboration with Deloitte and based on the results of the FutureForce Halton survey of over 100 Halton businesses, the "Trends in Halton's Workforce Reports" helps make the case for why Halton must come together to develop strategies surrounding workforce development issues. While FutureForce Halton works with its partners to develop new content and online material, viewers can still delve into the archive. With material from both FutureForce Summit events (in 2006 and 2007) - including PowerPoint presentations, video and a ton of photos - plus extras, there is a wealth of material worth checking out.
